Statement on Billing Policy

SSR is happy to file both primary and secondary insurance claims. Please be aware that many insurance plans require pre-authorization for certain radiological procedures. In some cases, insurance benefits may be reduced or eliminated if the insurance company has not given prior approval. An Explanation of Benefits may be needed to bill a secondary insurance company. It is recommended that you review your insurance policy and contact your insurance company prior to having any medical services to determine eligibility, coverage level, authorizations, limits, etc. Many health plans have WEB based or phone access for such purposes. Although we recommend doing this before arriving at our office, a phone is provided to patients in our waiting area for this purpose.

Please bring your insurance cards and claim or referral forms when you visit our office. For insurance plans not accepted by South Sound Radiology, you will be responsible for the full charge less any insurance payments received by our office.

Same Day Cash Discount Policy

SSR offers patients a 15% percent discount for imaging services paid in full on the date of service. Payment can be made in the form of cash, check, credit/debit card or money order.

Out of Network Prompt Payment Policy

South Sound Radiologists offers a 10% discount for accounts that do not have a contractual allowance applied by an insurance carrier when the balance is paid in full within 15 days of the first patient billing. This discount is intended for uninsured patients and patients that are out of network where the balance is paid in full in a timely manner.
